Elizabeth graffiti

With big city status comes big city problems. Latest case in point: A few vandals have been busy tagging walls around Elizabeth lately, including Snoops (above), Cooking Uptown, Dollar General and Family Dollar on Central. If you see someone spray-painting someone else's property call the police.

The pre-gentritication era graffity is actually refreshing in a strange way. At least it has authenticity. Some graffiti murals are very artistic and enhance the wall rather obscure it.

A quick way to report graffitti is to email your report to: graffitti@ci.charlotte.nc.us

I'm sure the business owner or poor employee who has to clean off this graffiti garbage would beg to differ about its "refreshing" nature. And I'm sure the bums who go around dispensing this junk are equally "authentic."
