Neighborhood "improvement"

This is probably unfair criticism, but here goes: Does anyone think a fenced-in gravel lot is an improvement over a restaurant? For this they tore down the Athens?

Lets not go there because many historicaly significant buildings in Charlotte were dull-dozed to be replaced with a parking deck. And when this is mentioned most people are rather aloof about it. It is ironic BOFA encourages historical preservation on HGTV yet does nto practice the same ethos in its home city.

Parking lots are what made this country great.

Having endured eating at Athens exactly once, I believe the parking lot's an improvement.

you may be remembering Athens good times at 2AM waaay back when so let me ask what about memories from The Grady Cole Center (Park Center) ahhh nice huh? Are they not sweeter with the building still there? Try it out. Go to where you had a good time and see if you don't feel better but hurry because Grady Cole may go too.
