Nofo spot update

Work is going on at the Nofo spot on Elizabeth Avenue. Here's what the Observer had on it the other day:

Opening soon: Smalls, a restaurant-lounge

When Smalls opens its doors in mid-January on Elizabeth Avenue, diners can expect chef-inspired haute comfort food served in a joint setting.

Smalls is an intimate space that seats 80 and will be family-friendly and then transition into a lounge featuring either a disc jockey or live music Wednesday through Saturday.

The menu, conceived by owner Joseph DiLeo and executive chef Zack Gadberry, will boast plenty of choices in a variety of portion sizes, light options and items to share. The full-service bar will feature premium varieties of North Carolina craft beer. All lunch entrees will be $10 and under.
